History is Made!

History is Made!
I just got back from a small inauguration party. What a thrill to see Barack pledge to guide our country to better times. Good riddance, W! I, for one, won't miss you one, tiny, little bit.

Here are some pics of Chuck (below), Meg (our gracious hostess) and me (above) and Me! Tell me your inauguration stories.

How come nobody invites me to inaugeration parties?

I sat home and wasted time online until I went to work. And since I don't have TV, I missed the speech and everything. He accepted the presidency, right?

Ray, HELLLOOO... It's your birthday, remember? Didn't someone (like your hot wife) have a party for you? And, you didn't hear the news? Barack let John McCain take the oath after all. Bummer.

I tried to watch some of it on TV, but my three-year-old kept telling me it was "Boring." The little guy did perk up with the limo, though. What is it with guys and cars?

Woo hoo!

I watched it with my parents and my daughters.

Anita, I don't know because I happen to be the car freak in my family. Well, me and my son, Ethan. Maybe I was a guy in my last life...

Wendy, How awesome that you watched it with your parents and daughters! Do you think the girls "got it?"

My kids all watched it at school (which is cool as hell), but there seems to be some discrepency as to who the president actually is. Because they're telling me Obama did accept.

But of course I'd tend to take your word over theirs.

I listened to Obama's speach, while at the gym. I loved it! This guy is something special. I am proud of America and I believe in this guy. So I hope and work for the best possible outcome for all.

Ray, Smart guy. I'm sure you can tell, I usually know what's going on. Especially in Washington since I'm such an A-lister there. (Sorry, I don't mean to brag or anything, but it is what it is.)

Keith, He is indeed something special. Good riddance W, hello brains and wisdom!

I hosted a small inauguration watch party/lunch and it was fun. It's so nice to feel optimistic about government for a chance!
