Wonderful Winter Wonderland

Today was the most intense blizzard I've ever experienced. The snow totals over the past 24 hours made this winter the snowiest in Philly since they started keeping records in 1884. Along with an enormous amount of snow, comes beautiful pictures. These were taken today at around noon from the front and back of my house. I hope you enjoy them!

That is some beautiful snow! I like the pic of the trees at a distance, their arms covered with snow.

I can enjoy it only because I'm not in it. Give me the Vegas sunshine anyday! Lately it's been raining here, and I've been whining--how soft I've become!

I LOVE snow, love it, love it! We got snow here in Evergreeen, CO earlier in the week but the next day it was back to 45 and sunny and the snow is quickly melting!

GORGEOUS!!!
But- can u get snowed in?! What happens if it goes to ur roof and block the front door leaving you locked in the house like a tomb?! That's one of the biggest things that freak me out! I'm also afraid of cruise ships. I saw 'Titanic', people! I'm NOT getting sucked down with a ship, eaten by sharks, or frozen to death! NO! :)

Wow! I'm glad you got some pictures. At least it was a PRETTY reason to miss out on NYC. ;)

Beautiful! You should head over to my site (since I don't know how to include the full video here) - I took a 20 second or so qik video of the falling snow (complete with windchimes) :D

(www.sybir.com if you want to see it)

And we've seen record counts here now too. Amazing what mother nature does.

Oh, I'm jealous! I know it's no fun to drive in, and no fun to shovel (I grew up in MI), but for us in California, it's very beautiful! Would love to take my son for a sled ride in that - after making snow angels and building a snowman.
