Well, well, well. Sarah met her embarrassingly low expectations, but ever so barely. Is that good for the dynamic duo of McCain/Palin? Possibly. It may slow the free fall their campaign is in, but there's no guarantee. It's actually quite refreshing to see Red America collectively rubbing the sleep out of their eyes and waking up to the insanity of the Republican offering. Her "folksy" comments and winks were enough to put all thinking humans into a state of near frenzy. One more wink would have sent my poor husband, Chuck, flying through the TV in order to strangle her slowly. And he is not a violent man. I kept waiting for her to bring out her pom-poms and shout, "Go Republicans!" or swing a lasso in the air while yelling,"Yee Haw!" Joe Biden was calm and brilliant and clearly knows his stuff. It was like watching Cat Woman debate Ghandi. I'm glad it's over, but it's hard to imagine the two remaining presidential debates will be as interesting.I'd love to hear your thoughts...

Yes, Niantic! In fact, I was on the Niantic Main Street committee helping out w/the marketing effort. What a beautiful place. I was five minutes to the beach - boy do I miss that! I thought Sarah did fine in the debate, and I liked the folksy stuff. Both candidates took liberties with the truth. And neither of them answer the questions….which was frustrating to me….but that’s the way it always is. It did seem that Sarah was a lot more deliberate in “not “ answering the questions.
In some ways I respect her, she got an opportunity, and she’s going for it. Without out a doubt, she was a dubious choice by McCain. I’m not gonna but her down for it.
Barak and Sarah have made this election exciting…and it seems less people are making a choice based on “the lesser of two evils” but instead genuinely supporting their candidate.
That’s good to see. So I’d rather have Sarah then some Crusty Ole, Experienced white guy. Same goes for Barak, it’s so nice seeing some new faces in the national election.
I share your unpacking pain. Erich and I were in NYC for 8 days just got back Weds. and I have to go back Monday-Friday next week. I'm not so keen on packing these days either :-)
