Phall in Philly

I'll be back for a writing post in a few days. In the meantime, here are a few pics showing how beautiful it is here outside of Philly this time of year. We lived in Connecticut for over five years, and nothing beats autumn in New England. However, Phall in Philly comes close.

I took these pictures last weekend on a drive through the nearby countryside. At French Creek State Park, a gentleman asked if we'd like him to take a picture of us. Turns out, the guy's a professional photographer. (See pic at bottom.) Some days, you just get lucky.

Ken, Thanks! I could take pictures all day long for about three weeks. I bet it's amazing at Nutwood Junction!!

Beeeutiful! And your hair IS staying straight! :)

Anita, That was before I washed it. The body is already sneaking back in. The grass is always greener (or the hair is always straighter) on the other side. Glad you liked the pics. ;-)

HOLY CRAP!! Ya'll get FALL up there!!! MAGICAL! We get 1)hot, humid summer 2) windy cold with no snow to make it fun

Only one of the trees in my yard has changed color...I named it "Henry" after Thoreau.
If u take any pics of snow this winter, you MUST post them so I can see!! I want to see it actually fall too-if u can get a pic of that-I've only seen it fall once-two years ago-on Christmas Eve, we were in the restaurant at like midnight. I looked out the window we were by, and I was like-"WHY is it raining so slow?" It never crossed my mind that it would be snow! There was like 1/4 inch on the ground, and it was gone by morning, but it was SERIOUSLY something I think about A LOT! I think it's one of the MOSt beautiful things! ...I started a new piece recently, and part of it's in Washington--I should insist on going there for "research"!! :)

I love fall! Our leaves are pretty much gone now, so I enjoyed seeing yours :)

Why would anyone ever want to live anywhere else?

Debra Lynn Shelton said...

Penny, You can come visit me anytime. "Research" is important to writers. I'll be sure to snap some snow pics for you. We don't get nearly the snow here they do in New England, but I'll do my best.

BTW: Give Henry a hug for me. ;-)

Glynis, You're welcome! It's always so nice to see your smiling face here on my humble blog. ;-)

Karen, If we could move from fall to about a month-long winter filled with beautiful snowfalls, and then head directly into spring, life would be perfect. ;-)

Jemi, Isn't fall amazing? Every year it blows my mind.
