My holidays were quiet but lovely. Only changed out of my jammies to go for a run.... then showered and right back in em. It's our tradition to eat Christmas dinner in our jammies.
No, didn't snag any major holiday loot, but my favorites were a sweater I bought myself and the new 2010 Writer's Digest. Curled up with that for a while.
Hung out with my kids and my husband. Truthfully, I like that no one comes over on Christmas Day. We have family over on the Eve, and that's perfect.
Movies... ah... saw Valkyrie, which I'm still digesting. Can't say one way or the other if I liked it. It was interesting. Would I recommend... hmmm... not sure. Funny too because the whole theme was about being indecisive - haha. The other film we watched was Revolutionary Road. Let me say, that is NOT a full-of-love flick. Rather depressing. If you are an engaged couple brimming with gushy love, I'd highly recommend you skip this one. You'll be getting divorced before you even get married. Having been married 16 yrs, sadly, we could relate to the angst of the leads. Marriage is not an easy road... revolutionary or not.
Laugh? I didn't laugh a lot, but I did overflow with smiles.
All in all, it was a great day.
Jeanne, Thanks for giving such great detail! I've heard Revolutionary Road is incredibly depressing, and I'm all about romantic comedies, so I think I'll skip that one. We've been married a long time, too, so I do know how difficult keeping it together can be. I love the idea of staying in your jammies all day! And, you got up to take a run? Now that's impressive!

It was a Christmas full of the "good, bad and ugly"!!
My oldest son and two granddaughters flew in from the frozen north of MA to spend several days with us and it was glorious!!
I got a Kindle DX from hubby! Awesome!!...good!!!
Hubby got and still has miserable cold and then migraine...ugly!!!
Our freezer in the garage tripped a breaker and defrosted about $300 worth of food...bad!!!

Deep dark secret....my sister in law didn't have any money to draw names for Christmas but she did manage to spend tons on herself....I am sick of no one helping clean up except me and my husband & it's not even my house and I am tired of my grandson's other grandmother buying him to much and asking my daughter if it's ok...sometimes she would like to buy her son certain, and I sick of the same daughter get dollar store junk from the step mother in law.....Other than that I had a wonderful Christmas with my daughters, grandson and husband....Sorry but you asked for deep and dark and I could put it on my Blog Have a great day tomorrow!!

I had a lovely, lovely day in spite of the extended fam's dramas and changes in plan (which we managed to stay out of--Jeanne, now that I'm divorced I find your description of Revolutionary Road intriguing ;). Good food, a nap, and fires in fireplaces. What I watched: my friend the Lutheran pastor's Christmas present to herself: season 1 of Alias!

My holiday was perfect... no drama, let the kids eat all the candy they could, read, had dinner at a friend's house, husband took kids sledding... PERFECT!

Oh, man. I should have read this post yesterday before I grazed on cookies all day long. So I guess that's my deep dark secret. I ate cookies all day long yesterday. And already had one for breakfast this morning...
My holidays were fab, great times with the family. Besides grazing, we watched the snow fall all day yesterday and played the new board games and Wii games with the kids All day yesterday. It's organization day today (with a few more games). :)
Loot? Some good books, CDs, great gift cards, and some cute clothes and sneakers and a zebra striped snuggie ;)
Luckily no drama. I love the family time with my parents and sister on Christas Day and church and dinner with my inlaws on Eve and the morning that the kids run down the stairs to see what Santa brought.

Amazing and exhausting. This whole month has been so filled with family/friend crises that I'm beginning to lose track if I'm coming or going.

My holidays to Thaialnd got cancelled. But I have had a wonderful holiday at home.

Our Christmas was nice. Christmas Eve, well...let's just say we're lucky Santa stopped by...
We had set out a plate of cookies and fudge, only the dog thought it was for him! Of course, we didn't figure this out until 1 am when the dog decided to barf on my son. At least it was a memorable Christmas Eve!

My sister's husband got her this beautiful diamond necklace and my other sister and I were discussing the length of the chain. Other sister said, "It should be a little longer, so it hits her cleavage." Sister's husband says, "It's the length where her cleavage USED to be."
